Isa Muiño

My name is Isa Muiño, and I am a gay Latine interdisciplinary artist originally from Miami, Florida. I began my theatre training at New World School of the Arts and Miami-Dade College and continued my journey at Southern Methodist University in the Meadows School of the Arts BFA Theatre Studies program. During my time in Dallas, I have had the opportunity to work as an assistant director of In the Heights at Dallas Theater Center and Men on Boats at SMU as well as a director of #ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence at Kitchen Dog Theater. I have taken on acting roles in Machinal and How I Learned to Drive at SMU and my original written works DUE SOUTH and I WILL ONLY WRITE THIS ONCE were featured in Theatre East’s Wet Ink Series. I am passionate about work that investigates our sense of self and its relationship with others’ perceptions and am very interested in collaborative theatre. I plan on moving to New York within the next year, and I am excited to see where the wind takes me!
