Stakiah Lynn Washington

My name is Stakiah Washington, and I am honored to be graduating from Southern Methodist University with my BFA. I plan to thrive as a director, playwright, and actor, in both theatre, and film. I will continue to use my artistry to be an activist in the community. SMU credits include The Black Album written and directed by Regina Taylor, We the Invisibles, Smart People, and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern.

Besides her formidable acting and playwrighting talents, Ms. Washington is also a model student: a true ensemble player, professional, always prepared, and studious. She has been a joy to teach.
